Drilling Confirms Porphyry Copper-Gold Mineralization At El Brujo
|MinMet Plc ("MinMet") has advised IMPACT Minerals International Inc. of the results from the initial 800m drill program completed on the El Brujo concession in eastern Dominican Republic.|
IMPACT is pleased to announce that the drilling confirmed the presence of porphyry copper-gold mineralization. The drilling intersected mineralization in two of the three potential porphyry centres tested. The levels of copper and gold are in line with alteration and intensity of quartz stockwork veining within the mapped intrusive. The best intersections are from the Dos Brazos I zone, as shown in the table.
The results are being reviewed in conjunction with the extensive soil geochemistry anomaly and alteration mapped over an area of 6 km by 2 km. Given the early stage of the drilling, these results are encouraging and warrant further exploration.
MinMet, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Exploration and Discovery Latin America (Panama) Inc. (E&D) may earn a 51% interest in the El Brujo and La Bruja concessions by making exploration expenditures of US$ 1.5 million.
Vancouver-based IMPACT Minerals International Inc. is an exploration company focusing on precious and base metals targets within the Dominican Republic. IMPACT is 47% owned by Energold Mining Ltd. (EGD:TSX.V), a profitable exploration and drill contracting company.
